FUTURE PROJECTS
Small Scale Films Inc. is not stopping with ALTERNA RUSH. With your help
and the money raised from sales of ALTERNA RUSH, we intend to produce more
films showcasing herps and herpers. Here's a list of possible future
documentaries:
THE WILD PYTHONS OF SOUTH FLORIDA
The Burmese Python (Python molurus bivitattus) has found its way into
Everglades National Park and is thriving there. Our film would focus on the
natural and captive history of the Burmese, how and why they have become so
successful so far from their natural environment, their impact on an
environment not equipped to deal with them, and what, if anything, we can do
about them.
CORNSNAKES, THE WORLDS MOST POPULAR PET SNAKE
The cornsnake enjoys a place in the herp community that is unparalleled.
Almost anyone who likes reptiles at one time has owned a pet corn. With
almost any color or pattern variation imaginable, there is a type of
cornsnake that will appeal to almost any taste. Learn about their natural
and captive history, how they have effected the reptile hobby as a whole,
and see why they hold the title designer snake.
ADDICTED TO DARTS, THE POISON DART FROG HOBBY
See the exquisite detail, care, time, and effort that are put into the
captive husbandry of these toxic yet charming creatures. Nearly everything
about these amazing frogs is more complicated and time consuming than the
care of other herps, but all the effort is worth it when you have to feed
your addiction.
ALIEN ENVASION
A showcase of the many non-native species and transplants that have become
established in the U.S. From giant pythons to the tiny green house frogs,
we will see how these animals arrive, establish, and thrive in their new
environments.
